My friend Jarl ”Japan” won third prize in the 2011 Prix Émile Hermès !!!

Targeted at developing countries, this stove – designed for mass production – aims to deliver optimal energy efficiency as a significant contribution to the fight against pollution, deforestation and poor food hygiene.

  1. Me too. With some modifications maybe it could be used as a smoker too? I guess there’s only this prototype right now. It would be awesome if it came into production and actually ended up in the right places.

  2. I realize this is meant for developing countries, but I am pretty keen on bringing one of these home for camping trips! Elegant design, smart concept…I love it.
