I remember the repetitive bulging rises from a fish eating just below the surface. Downsizing the leadertip to a 7X and tying on a size 16 black grouse/peacock buzzer with antron gills. Making a 20 metre cast landing the fly spot on. The sudden take as an instantly transmitted swoop all through the lines lenght. The rod being suddenly 1/3rds submerged just when i was reaching for my net. Potato and fresh sage hash browns with diced smoked ham.
Whipped horseradish doublecream and chive.
